Will the US use nuclear weapons on Iran? Former special forces and Green Beret officer Anthony Aguilar says it is very possible. We have spent many decades developing all kinds of tactical nuclear weapons as small as suitcase bombs. Many different nuclear-capable forces have been brought to the region. Faced with a humiliating defeat, the Trump administration will be strongly tempted to go nuclear in some form. The only hopeful note he gives us is that he has known General Dan Kane personally for many years and he believes Larry Johnson’s story that Kane told Trump that he absolutely must not use any kind of nuclear weapon. However, Larry also says that the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is not in the chain of command. It sounded like all Trump would have to do is call Strategic Command and they would execute the order without hesitation.
