Because western nations led by the US are seeped in hypocrisy and double standards. No one is being allowed to challenge their narrative openly.
But how stupid does the majority of people in the U.S.-and-allied countries need to be in order for them to condemn Russia’s Government for invading Ukraine now (on the basis of truths) when they did not (and STILL don’t) condemn America’s Government for invading Iraq then (on the basis of lies)?
I am an American, and I vehemently condemned the invasion of Iraq in 2001. In fact, I was 18 years old and one week away from starting college when 9/11 happened. I want to add to my comment below: The most cynical answer to the question “why Iraq” was proposed by a geography professor in my first year: “This war in Iraq is nothing more than the continuation of Bush Sr’s war of aggression and regime change efforts against Saddam Hussein. The first war ended on a politically salient day: the 100th day. But the war never really ended, as it was carried on with economic sanctions from then on out. When will we start to lament about “poor poor Serbia” and “poor poor Libya”?
