Putin is in a difficult situation. He started this whole thing believing he was dealing with rational people who were restrained in their actions by their democratic governments and their need to have the support of their respective populations. He believed that like himself, the western leaders would do what was in the best interests of their countries, and peoples. He now realizes that is not the case. Well stated, I agree this describes the situation. SO far as feeding hundreds of millions in to the grinder, that remains to be seen. I doubt it could work smoothly. However, as we knoiw its not ‘Putin’ really, it ussia, and it will remain a target even in ten, twenty and fifty years time. ‘Growth’ and Growth Targets’ Dont pretend you understand these terms or any one does. They are rubbish. You can have growth in GDP whilst the manufacturing or agricultural industry declines deplorably. SImpoly by property investment, awhjich alos impoversihes and enslabves people. You can introduce pornography and , as per UK government, that to onow features in GDP and growth. You can fertilise with mineral phosphorus etc, but soil wil become unbstbale without orgnaic fertilizer – from cows.
