Oh the Bank of England and the British courts are going to be upset now! The Bank of England is currently holding 31 tons of gold bars (worth about £1.60 bn) which the Venezuelan government deposited there in 1980. It is wonderful that Alex has stopped saying ‘me and Alexander’ and changed it to ‘Alexander and I’. I would have thought that Alexander, whose diction can’t be faulted, would have pulled him up well before this.
