Iran and USA have been on a collision course since 1979. Both have very deep seated grievances. Looks like the twains have met.
Come up with all the downsides you want but know that current course and speed, Iran is dead man walking.
This is not about the US and Israel vs Iran. It’s about maintenance of the west’s world financial order (includes saudi and UAE) and primacy of the dollar vs BRICs, Iran, Russia and China. Iran is not finished yet. Iran is correct to keep the pressure on Israel. The main question is whether Russia and China will come to the aid of Iran, if Iran asks for that assistance.
If Iran falls Russia will be next. Putin did a good job bringing Russia back from the brink of extinction but he is badly deluded if he thinks that Russia ‘had a good relationship with the US’. It was rational for Putin to want Russia to be part of the West, but that was never in the plans of the US project to destroy Russia and take all its stuff, which has continued constantly since 1945.
