NATO expansion? NATO needs to go the way of the Dodo Bird.
This seemed like a clueless discussion. Strategy? What kind of “strategy” does a country need to keep its “forever wars” going? The goal isn’t to win, it’s to change regimes, extract minerals or oil, or simply add a few new military bases. And to have a discussion about the military without once mentioning the military -industrial complex misses the point of why the West’s militaries are in such bad shape. They exist for profit, not for fighting a real war. You are off the track on this discussion.
Concerning the conduct of a proper diagnosis, I am reminded of the court-martial of Col. Robert Kearney in Canada. By punishing military analysts that speak the truth about NATO incompetence, Canada (and NATO !!) merely causes harm to itself, because it silences other analysts that would speak the truth, but dare not, for fear of reprisals and punishment. After all, that was one major causes of the fall of the Soviet Union, so it seems that “The West” must go through its own downfall, before it learns by itself the same lesson that Russia and the USSR went through.
