No, Trump was ordered.
Only someone that is not knowledgeable of American politics and culture, like Alexander Mercouris, would think that Trump actually makes his own decisions, he doesn’t.
Even a 90 IQ moron would by now figure out he was being lied to .

I am ignorant of American politics and “culture” – such as it is – because it is so coarse and beastly. I choose to ignore it. Americans will continue to fight one another like rats in a sack, with less and less effect on the outside world.
I shall continue to pay close attention to Messrs Christoforou and Mercouris because they are intelligent, well-informed, and articulate.

I still cannot see why it matters what the Western media (and governments) say, or whether Western citizens believe them.
Their statements and opinions are of no importance and do not affect reality. Presently the fighting will end, with Russia having won decisively.
Mr Pompeo’s proud boast can be reworded in the present tense and treated as the US government’s standard modus operandi:
“We cheat. We lie. We steal”. (Cue frenzied applause).
Need I add that they also kill? Early and often.
