What a very weak analysis! It is not Cuba that is falling apart, but the US – from where your so-called ‘interesting expert’ comes from.

The Cuban government will not pander to the Cuban middle class idiots in Florida and elsewhere and will build their society and country as they see fit.
If you think that the US can do a regime change in Cuba, dream on.

Cuba is a Socialist country GET USED TO IT!

The US has already done one regime change in Cuba, which resulted in the installation of the US-backed dictator, Fulgencio Batista. Cubans know their history and they are proud of it. Either he has never been to Cuba or, if he has, he’s not stepped outside a posh hotel in Havana. I have visited Cuba six times and travelled the length and breadth… Read more »

Thank you, Smoking Eagle, for countering the propaganda. I have not had a chance to visit Cuba (yet), but some of what you wrote reminded me of my vacation to Nicaragua a few years ago. There are some similarities, the difference is more of degree than kind. Tons of happy European and Canadian tourists, I only ran into one US tourist who pretended to the Nicas that he was Canadian because he was ashamed to say he was from the US. None of the US propaganda about Nicaragua is true either.
