I agree with your analysis of Merkel’s behaviour wrt to Minsk agreements.
Moreover, there is no point that I can see in her speaking to the press now in this way, except to bolster a declining reputation and her acceptance amongst an the emergent Political class with their extreme anti-Russian/pro-Ukraine form of Political correctness.
Certainly doesn’t help bolster Public Opinion toward Ukraine’s cause – more the opposite, (inadvertently) I suppose.
