The “mistake” was made by the European leaders, who for the umpteenth time were hoping to hoick the USA into their synthetic indignation against Russia.

It seems to me that the necessary first step must be to find out exactly who launched the drones and why. I have strong suspicions.

Obviously Mr Trump abominates the purchase of Russian oil. Being American, he would prefer everyone to have to buy US oil at far higher prices.

I expect Mr Trump gets his numbers (and much else) directly from Kiev.

For myself, I find the spectacle of a US President weeping crocodile tears for war dead utterly grotesque. He is the head of state of a nation that has quite deliberately killed at least 20 million foreigners (mostly civilians) since 1945 without once declaring war.

Trump are further proof.… Read more »

Certainly, time will tell, and none of us knows the mind of Trump and the games he plays. I do tend toward Alexander’s analysis. I have been saying here for a long time now (in other posts) that Trump is in a huge bind here with marginal legislative support from a hating Democratic Party, RHINOs/Neocons, and the Deep State. He will get nothing done during his presidential term if he does not bend the knee to a certain degree to enable him to progress on domestic issues. I have posited since before the Alaska meeting that Trump needs Putin to… Read more »
