Part of the “New Deal” was WWII. Standard procedure to stimulate the economy. The Great Depression itself was intentionally prolonged by the Federal Reserve for exactly that purpose. The War with Japan was deliberately provoked as a back door to the European War.

No, there were enough “mentally challenged” voters then to take care of his election. But I have to concede that having someone push him over Niagara Falls in his wheel chair would have made a spectacular sympathy ploy.

Trump made mistakes during his first term, especially with appointees. He has brought on some good people now, specifically Robert Kennedy Jr.and Tulsi Gabbard. I hope it goes better this time.
George H.W. Bush explained his victory simply: “It’s the economy, stupid.” Now, I think it’s the inflation that most people are experiencing that has caused them to vote for a change in leadership. The spending on foreign wars certainly has contributed to that inflation.
