These trade missions by the likes of Kallas are ridiculous. Unless there’s a specific deal, like arms, where otherwise restricted, and with the implication of military alliance, anyone can trade, if sanctions or tarrif don’t restrict. Any individual or comany – even an energy or mining company. Portals exist like Indiamart already for individuals and small/medium size businesses. But the EU does have a trade restriction policy in place for countries outside the EU. Which is tantamount to trade tarrifs. One point to consider regarding the US-Ukrainian mineral deal, it was originally to recoup $500 billion. Now that it is unlimited, it is undefined, so should the US companies dig up only $10 worth of minerals, that is all that is there and the agreement is upheld. So who is the sucker in this agreement?
