I just saw this Trump post on Truth Social:
If the corrupt politicians of Minnesota don’t obey the law and stop the professional agitators and insurrectionists from attacking the Patriots of I.C.E., who are only trying to do their job, I will institute the INSURRECTION ACT, which many Presidents have done before me, and quickly put an end to the travesty that is taking place in that once great State. Thank you for you attention to this matter!

Trump is referring to the Insurrection Act of 1807, which has been invoked by past presidents 16 times. I might have supported this statement in December 2020 after the election that I thought was rigged. I thought that everything the Democrats had done during and after the 2016 election beginning with Russiagate constituted an insurrection. But he didn’t do it. It probably would have been a mistake then and it probably would be a worse mistake now because it would cause a civil war.

Under 8 U.S.C. § 1325, individuals who enter or attempt to enter the United States at a time or place not designated by immigration officers, or who evade inspection, are committing a criminal offence. These criminal individuals face a fine of up to $5,000 for illegal entry and Imprisonment for up to 6 months, for a first offence.
Donald Trump is just enforcing US law (not his law), by deploying the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, to round up and deport these criminals.
