I wouldn’t say so. While I don’t always agree with everything he says, he IS knowledgeable about US politics. It’s his job.

My take on Russia’s interest in rapprochement with the US is to strengthen methods of avoiding nuclear war while economic and proxy wars continue to take place. Russia will win these and use rapprochement to smooth salve on the hegemon who will continue to kick their own ass.
