True story of Trump “akin to a toddler with a hammer going through the living room hitting stuff” this is how the real world looks like.

“Because he was threatening American global hegemony and he did that because he didn’t really understand what he was doing. You know and he didn’t understand it because he couldn’t follow things. Every book on Trump says the same thing. There’s no book that says “he’s a great listener”, “he really focuses on details” No, it’s like they all say the same thing that in the middle of an important conversation he just drifts off like you see something on Television. Even in many of his policies, he would give an order and then his staff would successfully undermine it. I mean he’s like unable to track what’s actually happening with his policies. Frequently, he’s just sort of watching Fox News to see if his announcements are reflecting back to him through Hannity.”

“I think fundamentally you know pulling back from all the details. It’s like they also had a problem, which is what do you tell the public? Like how do you explain this to the children? Are you going to say okay folks this guy’s nuts and he threatens the American Empire. You know the American Empire is this very important thing for reproducing this system, that is you know screwing people all over the world economically right, that this is how this system of inequality that you all experience is is reproduced and we have to maintain it in the interests of Corporate America and capitalist ruling classes globally. You can’t say that publicly to voters. So they come up with a digestible narrative for the audiences, for you know the citizens who they treat as children. Which is like “he’s in with the bad guys” right. I mean otherwise what are they going to do? They have to come up with some reason to hate this guy. They can’t, unlike Trump they can’t tell the truth right. They can’t say this is not a security business right. These are public expenditures, we tax you the American citizens to fund this incredible Empire and then Corporate America gets access to cheap labor and cheap natural resources all over the world and that system is very important to the donor class therefore we’re going to maintain it and you’re going to keep paying for it with your taxes. And that’s why you can’t have free healthcare, free higher education etc, right. They can’t say that so they come up with a kind of Marvel comic kind of uh you know spy novel story about that he went to the Soviet Union at the beginning of its collapse in the late 80s to build a hotel and then therefore you know the Russians like to put the zap on him. Yeah, I mean the more you read about Trump as a person, the harder it would be to imagine him serving in that capacity coherently. But I must say that in researching this article I developed a certain kind of um understanding not quite sympathy but an understanding of the panic of the national security establishment. Which is that you know you can imagine how they could convince themselves that this guy is working for the enemy. Because what he did was contradictory but in significant ways was really really threatening. I mean the stuff he did around NATO was, I mean he hated NATO. I mean he wanted to get rid of NATO. He goes, you know that’s not a NATO Summit. I forget which Summit it is, but you know he arrives late, leaves early, refuses to sign the communicae,  reaffirms the American commitment to a rules-based international order. I mean the Center of Western Empire was run by a guy who was sort of like you know what, I just assume I will burn the whole thing down and leave you guys to your own business right. That’s when he threw Starbursts at Angela Merkel and said “Don’t say I never give you anything”.”

Wake up “children”!!!

THis is the most brilliant piece describing Trump. Trump is no intellectual, although he is obviously clever – but in many ways, his instincts are correct and line up with those who reject the Uniparty of the USA. He needs an outstanding running mate – eg Col. Douglas Macgregor to help him formulate many of his ideas about the military and foreign policy as well as a decent conservative to help him with his internal policies – eg universal health care, improvement of schools and maybe even free tertiary education in order to educate youngsters so that they can at… Read more »

I seem to remember that Trump made hawkish statements about and performed hawkish actions toward Russia during his presidency, whether it be demanding that NATO members like Germany pay up for NATO defense (2% of GDP against a nonexistent threat) or attempting to stop Nord Stream II from being built/ratified (particularly his laughable accusation of Germany’s dependence on Russian gas, implying that Russia occupies Germany a la NATO, isn’t a reliable supplier, etc.). I wonder what made him do a 180 all of a sudden – I hope it’s more than just because of Biden.
