Firstly, if there was distrust between China and N. Korea, that is no longer the case. So assuming that the renewing of any alliance between Russia and N. Korea has upset China is a bit far fetched. Also, I can say with some certainty that Russia discussed with China their alliance with N. Korea before anything took place, much as they did with the SMO in Ukraine. Secondly, to say that an alliance between Russia and N. Korea might embolden the N. Koreans to “reckless activity” is absolutely absurd. Did not the N.
