You’re probably spot on, Dan, regarding IQ. 90 would be about average for the whole region just as it is for much of the Middle East. This compares with 100 for Northern Europe and about 70 for much of sub-Saharan Africa.
I live in Northern Europe and I can tell you that 100 is too generous for millions of people here. There is no way you can generalise. And as for Sub-Saharan Africa, please don’t confuse intelligence with book learning

In my experience, Europeans try to make up for their lack of intelligence by rituals of feigned elegance and style. They fail utterly. Europe is now no more, or less, than The Fourth Reich. Western Europe has been occupied by the USA (CIA) directly since 1945. That the CIA was founded by the SS has not helped Germany.
Ukraine as a whole is proof that IQ as a metric should be extended to negative numbers. The way they see the world and themselves is mental.

It’s nothing new. It’s the same thing as Mujahideens in Afghanistan. The US is always supporting and pushing extremist groups because they are the ones willing to fight so they can be used for the benefit of the US. Just like they pushed extremist religious groups in Afghanistan so they will fight Russians for their benefit, so now they are pushing extremist nationalist groups so they will fight Russians for their benefit. They need to push radical extremist ideology because that’s what makes people fight which then can be used for US benefit.
