There cannot be more obvious KGB/Russian agent than Dimitri Simes. I am more surprised they gave him citizenship and they tolerate his activity for so long. He defected as alleged political refugee from Soviet Union but started pro Soviet influence activity immediately after obtaining citizenship. Probably the ones vetting his background were also agents.
