Appreciate that very timely update Alex. The neocons smell blood? I thought it clear that UKR cannot win the battle, and regime change in RUS is going to take more than contrived media re a RUS peaceful military retreat, surely? And your comment re your Greek military friend is very pertinent: Why have the RUS not used their domination of the air to obliterate UKR troop build up? It does not make sense that they have not? And all the UKR troop movement involved from the west, again does not make sense? RUS have the means to take it out… Read more »

Perhaps it is much bigger than Kherson and the war with Ukraine. Perhaps it is about the war with nato, — nato warmongers:”Ukraine is winning!!-let’s give them tens of billions $$ more weapons” “Good idea but it has to be done very quickly to be effective-we need to hit the Russians hard, now-so all you who have been holding back, send your weapons immediately” “OK, they are on the way” “HOORAY for our side” The weapons arrive in Ukraine and all those Russian anti-weapons missiles which have been so mysteriously quiet descend on their targets. Ukraine has been openly saying… Read more »

A definite trap to lure Ukr in, and wipe out Ukr, once and for all.

Don’t even to get past the first 2 mins of the video. Can Ukr be so stupid not realise this, knowing how this part of Russian tactics. And the West pushing Elensky to take |Kherson at all cost => total wipe-out.
And allows Russia to give peace talks a chance, for global optics.

Maybe also a chance to lure in US troops, and then wipe them out as well, and scare NATO out of the war.

So, what you do is make the fight really long and difficult for Ukr, to the point that it looks like Ukr has nearly succeeded but needs just a bit of help from the USA. And when the US/NATO troops join in, wipe them out – maybe long and drawn out, with NATO reinforcements sent in to help……max US casualties.

Are we sure that this is not a massive trap set by the Russians for Ukrainian troops.
Surely the Russians, with their total air superiority, could easily eliminate any attacking troops advancing towards Kherson city.
Although this has not been the case thus far in all the other attacks by the Ukrainians, and one wonders why.

Russian doctrine is to keep area’s you can hold easely not like NATO not holding area’s at all and eventually be forced to pull out as in Iraq and Afghanistan.

A stupid move, and the Russian General needs to be replaced.

The surprise pullout from Kherson, surely something major in the war is doing down that we have not been informed of.

Alex wants us to jump ahead of the news, to take a wild guess at tomorrows news. But why? New facts will no doubt appear to give us the light we need to walk in the light.

For whatever reason this pull back is a monumental PR disaster. For sure they, the Generals, may have good cause, but to advertise this draw down on TV was to say inept. The Biden administration will be over the moon, So more weapons more cash and more waving the Ukie Nazi flag, well done!!!!

This is a DEFEAT whatever scent you put on this debacle.

If the Ukies do in fact take Kherson, then this” We will not surrender any Russian territory” is just talk.

Long range HIMARS on the horizon, what price Crimea now.

My guess is that the General asked his underlings what they would do if the Ukies knocked down that giant dam? “Drown”? So why not let them take the region and then WE knock down the dam, he says.
The Russians have a history of burning their own lands and resources in “defeat”, letting the enemy advance. The West puts an emphasis on PR, massive concentrations of troops on the attack, and instant gratification.
Will be interesting to see what happens.
