My biggest disagreement with Reform’s published program is that they want to spent MORE money on “defence”, whereas I want to see the UK get rid of all nuclear weapons, forbid any other country to base such weapons in the UK, and cut down the armed forces to a level appropriate for defending the home islands. We could save huge amounts of money by facing the fact that the UK is no longer a “great power” – and hasn’t been since the 1950s.
