I’m afraid I can’t agree with your commentary on the Bosnian crisis at all. Two particular points: 1 The Serb population of Bosnia was nowhere near 70% – according to both the 1895 and the 1910 censuses the Orthodox (i.e. Serbs) constituted 43% of the population. One can only get up to 70% by adding in the local Muslims as well who were no-more pro-Russian than they were pro-Austrian.
