The US wants to NATOize Taiwan in a similar strategy to what they did in Ukraine since 2014. Unlike Russia at that time, China is now militarily strong enough to prevent this. Hopefully the Taiwanese are smart enough to realize the folly of cooperating with the US invaders to that extent. The Chinese know the ultimate goal of the US, as had been demonstrated in the 90’s in its economic rape of Russia that Putin later managed to thwart, which will also happen to China unless they defend their control over Taiwan and the straits. I believe President Biden could be in the beginning stages of dementia. I think it’s not something people should deride him for. I believe this could be another reason for Blinken calling instead of Biden. We are all human and no one is infallible regardless of our position we hold in this grand play..
