The Professor is being charitable.

What he means is that Trump is being controlled and Alex and Glenn still don’t get it.

Mearsheimer is, to put it gently, a cut above most of the other analysts.

It was clear from day one that this war would be a disaster for the Ukraine and the EU. What could they have been thinking?

“What could they have been thinking?”(the EU)

It’s clear to me(and Eric Suesse and Brian Berletic) that the EU was thinking that they would get a share of the loot that was going to accrue to the US, and its allies, from the destruction of Russia and the taking of all its stuff. This project did not commence three and a quarter years ago(when Ukraine ramped-up its attacks on Russophones in Ukraine) or even in 2014 with the US run coup in Ukraine. It was begun by Roosevelt in !945 and has continued ever since.

Correction to my “was begun by Roosevelt” it was actually begun by Truman. Bad error on my part.
