I would only differ by suggesting that the “root cause” emanates not from the US directly, but rather from the international banking and corporate elites that are using US power in their interests. China has become the latest target because its economy has grown to overshadow that of the US, and particularly because it has been making trade deals with many other countries that exclude or supplant Western profiteering, thus constraining the exploitation and usury of the West that undergirds the enormous unsustainable US debt.
