Larry Johnson talking to Judge Napolitano says the Ekaterinburg arrest may have been a set-up by the CIA to paint Russia in a bad light to US public to increase their horror at “Putin’s” violent authoritarian treatment of “spies” & dissidents etc. Also when I read about “Putin” demanding that senior govt and industry execs, engineers, scientific, etc valuable people surrender their passports so that they cannot travel outside “friendly” countries, I immediately thought that “Putin” was preventing the possibility that they might be arrested by the West to sabotage Russian govt & industry operations, or to use as bargaining… Read more »
As an ex-Imperial geologist I keep tabs on how we humans are doing wrt Peak Oil. Peak conventional oil – the best type because it flows more-or-less freely from limestone or sandstone reservoirs, still dominated by far by the Middle East, with the world’s largest reservoir by far being Gwahar in Saudi – occurred around 2005, which pushed oil prices above USD100/barrel and precipitated the 2006-2008 Global Financial Crisis (GFC).
