It looks obivious to me that the collective West has decided to start a war in Donbass in january or early february. Of course they are not going to fight in that war ,but let Ukraine teke the hit. The plot is as following. They want to start a war in january but it is important that it looks like the Russians had started the war. The obivious move is to use all the propagannda machine to lie to the world that Russia is going to start a war in that month, beforehand. This is going quite well I think. The… Read more »
This is not a poker game. It’s a boxing match. The russians can do both, although the best russian boxers are of course ukrainian, one being the major of Kyiv now and regularly at odds with the joker. In a boxing match, when yout opponent is close to collapsing, you do not deliver the knockout punch, because boxers in that condition are dangerous. You keep him on his feet, keep up the pressure and don’t let him relax until he finally collapses. That is what the russians are doing now. They know they will never get a “legally binding agreement”… Read more »
Really excellent analysis. Use of the boxing metaphor speaks skillfully to the strategy that Russia appears to be using. I am often amazed at [1] the lack of skill of the US leadership, [2] how few seem to grasp the playbook and [3] how close we keep moving step by step using the ‘totalitarian tiptoe’ into systemic breakdown with unprecedented consequences. Now, they have turned up the heat, and its all ‘hell bent to the wall’ at max speed. The years 2022-2024 seem so ominous and foreboding. So few people are up to speed on what now appears to be… Read more »
A Western commentator, I think a former US Congressman, once said that if they are accusing someone of doing something, it very often means that they are doing it themselves. That could refer to a secret service or a ministry of foreign affairs etc. It is also called “confession by allegation”. So the NATO publication “NATO-Russia: setting the record straight” with its accusations against Russia should probably be read in this light.
I hate to say this, but whatever Russia might like or demand, will fall on deaf ears, The US and it’s serfs would break any treaty even if it was written in stone, ” our partners ” are not for turning , to quote another warmonger EX Thatcher prime minister.
