Why India should take the Russia-China summit in its stride

The prospects of a joint communiqué emerging from the G 20 summit in September in India are becoming dim. The G20 meeting of the Finance Ministers/Central Bank Governors as well that of the Foreign Ministers ended with the Chair’s summary and not a joint document because no consensus could be reached on how the Ukraine conflict should be reflected in it.

Instead of hosting a summit in G20 format where G7 countries refuse to sign off on a joint communique unless it contains a condemnation of Russia’s SMO, the Indians should float the idea of a G13 format where G7 members (Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK and the US) are refused entry. It seems it is the only way forward.

At the same time we wholeheartedly LAUD the US, UK, FR, DE, EU, NATO et al, for their brave and decisive actions… Read more »

OT:
If there’s one thing I can gleam from the YouTube viewership of this video, there’s going to be commentary that attributes the present-day Russophobia in the German media to Germany “licking its wounds from WWII”, as if the USA hasn’t been running the German media since WWII (and in the eastern part since the reunification). It irks me when otherwise knowledgeable folks conveniently omit important details and jump to faulty conclusions.
People can be clueless sometimes.

My understanding may be limited (I’m not German and I don’t live in Germany) and I’m kinda focusing on modern-day geopolitics, so take my explanation for what it’s worth. I’m told (and I kinda assumed we knew it already) that the mainstream media in Germany, like the government in Berlin, is run from the USA, and many of us know that the USA creates the narrative of “Russia bad” which is then aped by the MSM in Germany and every other puppet nation for that matter, and then bought into by any gullible person living there. If that doesn’t explain… Read more »
