As Sun Tzu pointed out very long ago, the result of a war depends very much on each side’s understanding of itself and its enemy. It is clear that Iran understands itself and the USA very well indeed; and the USA does not understand Iran at all, and even itself rather poorly.
Tanker rates are several hundred thousand dollars a day. The many tankers trapped inside the Gulf are incurring those rates for just sitting. This gets real expensive real fast.
The world economy is now racing towards economic depression, and there does not seem to be any way to avoid economic catastrophe at this point.
