It should be clear that the shooting down of the Ilyushin aircraft by Ukrainian air defense is a similar situation to the Ukrainian shoot down of flight MH-17. In both situations the Ukrainians were on the back foot when the shoot downs occurred.The Ukrainians and Western media will blame this on Russia as they did with MH-17 in July 2014

I think that one of the reasons for shooting down the plane is that the Ukies don’t want prisoners to go back home and say how well they were treated by the Russians. Especially when Russian prisoners are not accorded the same respect.
For example, I watched an RT documentary where the soldier featured talked about six Ukrainian prisoners who had been captured last Easter and the Russians sat them down to share their special meal before transporting them out. The Ukies don’t want the world to know about such things.
