I would argue that Ukraïne’s actions against the ZNPP are entirely logical, from their perspective as a betrayed nation. Alexander’s blackmail argument is therefore entirely valid. Concerning President Macron of France, he appears to have hardened against Russia after the exposure (and destruction) of his legionaire forces in Ukraïne, followed by the humiliating dress down of his ambassador to Russia in the aftermath of that exposure. Either the unit itself was very dear to him, or some specific individual within that unit was very close. Either way, I would argue that Macron took this defeat very personally and is now acting accordingly.
