It appears that since the firing of Zaluzhny, Zelenski has been trying to wipe out the Azov by sending them into the heart of the Russian advance. This makes sense, since there has always been a uneasy alliance between Zelenski and the Nazi Azov political members with them threating to hang Zelenski on more than one occasion.
