Airpower requires airfields. Airfields are susceptible to missile attack. Russia has massive missile capability. A conflict between Russia and the west would not be Airpower vs. Airpower, it would be Airpower vs Missiles. The West may have an advantage in Airpower, but Russia has the advantage in Missile power in which would devastate the Airfields. This scenario does not even take into account the Russia / China defense pack that would bring China into the conflict and the implication that would have for the West Coast of the US….
