So Stoltenberg says that production of ammunition can barely keep up with its expenditure in Ukraine, but that they will step up production. The trouble is that producing armaments requires a huge amount of energy, because you are casting steel, aluminium, dealing with volatile chemicals and explosives, which require temperature controlled environments. But now, of course, Europe has no cheap Russian energy to service armaments factories. So, please excuse the pun, the ammunition manufacturers have rather shot themselves in the foot, have they not? In my opinion it is just bullshit regarding the US military being weak. Issue is in Ukraine Ukrainians are not allowed to have the real new equipment because the West is afraid Russia can get it. So what you see in Ukraine is not really western equipment because it can not be fully utilized since they can not get the best equipment to support it(for example they get artillery but don’t get AIMING SYSTEM). Why would these European countries want to give up their tanks? For me obvious, they are not expecting an invasion or war with Russia, they need them for the coming civil unrest in their cities. That is it in a nutshell. They have their own little war, and it’s with their own citizens. Nice no? Bravo EU/Uk , collective west, as they say. Eating itself.
