It is insufficiently recognised and taken into account that Mr Putin, being highly intelligent and well-informed, is juggling many more factors than most heads of state. While running the SMO as efficiently as possible, he also has to think about the growth and balance of the economy, inflation, defending against a potential NATO sneak attack at any moment, the supply of armaments, foreign trade and balance of payments in the face of sanctions, the risks and dangers of immigration – which is necessary to provide enough labour, etc. To take a rather extreme example of a leader who neglected most… Read more »
