Lilly I am disgusted by you. Lilly is a former employee of mine. In an undisclosed location in an undisclosed “position”. [yik yik, fnar fnar] Where Lilly was fired for insubordination and acting like a fool in team meetings. I am disgusted to see Lilly here, attempting to egg people on, in some sort of scam operation.

Alexander’s remarks about irresponsible and apparently demented Western leaders are absolutely correct. As it happens, I am currently reading the great British historian David Irving’s book “Churchill’s War” (available free from Ron Unz’s site). It turns out that Boris Johnson’s dream of being a second Winston Churchill is less fantastic than one might think. Not because Johnson isn’t a foolish irresponsible clown, but because Churchill was one. The list of his terrible blunders is endless: Gallipoli, returning to the gold standard, warning of Hitler’s plans to attack Britain (he had none), plotting and conniving to overthrow the decent, sensible PM… Read more »

It is important to remember that Winston Churchill and Franklin Roosevelt were War Mongers and War Criminals who wanted WWII to happen to destroy Germany.

Franklin Roosevelt even worked to start a war with Japan to use as a back door to the war in Europe, which he wanted America to get involved in against Germany.

Well the perfidious/pathetic Albion did suspend its gold standard (partial by the way) during WW1 and then reverted back to it by 1925. A very large and unfortunate subject. No doubt that gold debacle somewhat formed Keynes’s attitude/position on gold. However the foregoing gold scenario says much more about war and fiat than it does about the practical restraints imposed on war and government imposed by a gold standard, even if partial. By the way, the only way that the abject horror that the US Vile Empire has become can be stopped, is when Wall Street lies in ruins (financially… Read more »

Just one more tangential point, that a “BTC standard” (perish the thought) would have no possibility or ability to restrain government as a gold standard does, and in that way bitcoin has zero resemblance to gold.

Recently I have seen a number of online bloggers say that “the Chinese are furious” or words to that effect.

I don’t think the Chinese do “furious”. Certainly not the elite who occupy senior government positions. Whether Taoist or Confucian, they always seem the quintessence of cool self-possession.

That sort of emotional control – obviously lacking in Westerners – has many advantages.

“Instant gratification” is not solely but peculiarly western. And that is why the west is on the verge of “instantly gratifying” itself to a presence in hell, where the culture it has presently *devolved* to certainly belongs..

This filters down to the ordinary Joe because life in the West has become tacky, greedy and superficial. People aren’t bothered with the long view or anything that might require a bit of effort. I’m so glad I’m not young these days and no longer care what others think.

I would argue that Russia does not need to worry too much about Brazil’s peace initiatives. Just getting President Zelenskiy to abolish his Anti-Negotiations decree would be a victory, and he is unlikely to relent on this, even for the Brazilians.

The REAL reason for the NO missile strikes order, is that the “red army/Kremlin” sat the yankees down, patted them on their little heads, and instructed them as to which bits of the yankee mainland would cease to exist if they pulled any funny stuff.
