The risk of WW III is sufficient that there are really only two choices: 1/ This admin split is a negotiating ploy since The US has zero leverage; or 2/ Trump is not in control of his own administration. Trump’s support among the American people is such that any attempt by Congress to remove him or further frustrate him will result in a furious voter backlash against people like Lindsey Graham. between his continuation of the neocon warmongering policies and his lack of action on the ongoing judicial coup against him, I now have zero confidence that Trump can make America great again. The incoherent trade policies do not help.
The decision for Trump is WWIII as Kellogg Waltz Rubio want or peace in some manner. Pretty simple though complex. EU wants war. DoD wants war. Bureaucrats want war. They chicken hawks all believe the Russias will collapse with total U.S. victory. They believe the stalemate lies. War with China and Russia is now 50/50 or higher.
In reality, Trump has few appointees in place. Ruling by EO and X posts until he can get people in place. Trump does not control the CIA, NSA, DoD, DoS, most of DOJ, and almost no law enforcement at this time. To talk about any split inside is like saying Alex and Alex with their wives are in an arguement. Until Trump can wrestle control from the Generals and Executive Service his position is very risky.
