Don’t wonder why the west treated Russia so badly for so long, ask why you only noticed when the world was about to end.
I wish Europe had socialist leaders like Putin who want to create industrial, capitalist, socialist, and nationalist economies that benefit all people. The only thing I would not agree with is that the doors are now closed to collaboration between Russia and Europe because such collaboration would still be beneficial to both sides. Russians are pragmatic, and they would not close doors that would benefit them. All the mess Europe is in right now is because of the U.S. Now the U.S. is trying to spread the cancer of neoliberal free markets to Europe to destroy Europe, just like they did before with Japan. The oligarchs pulling the globalist strings need to pool all their resources, swallow their egos, and re-industrialize all of Europe quickly or they’re going to lose everything in a great collapse. It’s beyond time to give up the dreams of restoring European dominance. That’s over. Make Europe Normal Again.
