In previous articles for Russia Feed I have discussed Project Kortezh, the Russian government’s ambitious project to provide Russia with a home produced top end luxury car (see here and here).
The car continues – understandably enough – to be spoken of as President Putin’s personal car. However as I explained in my previous articles, it is actually intended for production and sale in Russia’s domestic market as Russia’s own high end luxury car, competing with the likes of Bentley, Rolls-Royce and Mercedes.
The Russians have now produced the first film of the car undergoing road tests.
It is expected to be ready for production and sale next year, with a limousine version ready for use in the inauguration of Russia’s President following Russia’s Presidential election next year
