Robert Crumb is my favorite cartoonist. I was reading his stuff back in the 70’s and I still have a big collection of his work. This cartoon featuring Donald Trump came out in “Hup” magazine in 1989. Trump was not in politics at the time, he was just a well-known rich guy. Crumb never met him. But for some reason, he singled him out for special criticism here in “Point the Finger”. I think he hits the nail on the head. Also, if you like great drawing of emotional expression, Crumb is the best. I have never seen anything like it anywhere else. It’s truly an American classic.
