If the US government acquiesces in the establishment of spheres of influence by China, Russia, and Iran, it will have to kiss goodbye to Asia completely and for good. No more “Who lost us China?” and “Who lost us Persia?”
On the other hand, such a decision might postpone the eventual collapse of the USA.
As for the future of Latin America, it should suffice to read an introductory book on the history of the region since independence from European nations. South American nations have fought very bitter, vicious wars for territory. They would probably fight again rather than surrender any of their hard-won sovereignty. Admittedly they all submitted long ago to US soft power, but that is much harder to resist.

You gentlemen made me laugh heartily at the idea of the EU’s “sphere of influence”. If one exists, it is less extensive than the EU itself. Perhaps Brussels, Paris, and Berlin?
