I think it is highly interesting that Brazil didn’t name Venezuela as a BRICS candidate, given their huge oil reserves. They’re right up there with the other big oil producers. My guess is that Brazil didn’t want to kick sand in the bully’s eyes, as in “Let’s make a splash, but not a huge one…”
