But why do Turkey and Hungary signal that they are going to accept Finnland and Sweden in NATO?
US and EU pressure. BTW: Turkey has not signalled it is willing to let Sweden join, so it will likely just be Finland. As a country of just 5.53 million Finland is probably hoping that NATO will stump up for the cost of equipping their army.
