The US funds the largest percentage of NATO’s weaponry and expense, providing a base for Europe’s Military Industrial Complex. The United States could marginalize NATO by simply failing to fund it. There is no need for a complex imaginary 5D chess game involving Russia and the United States working together to curb Europe’s militarist ambitions as the future hegemonic, trumpeting for war, war, and more war.

Of course Europe is potentially a much greater threat to world peace than even the United States is – and as the US has historically been. However, the focus of US Oligarchs right now, is only about the Ukraine, and how the US will respond when the Kiev regime’s military establishment crumbles and collapses – as the Kiev political regime is presently doing as well.

NATO militarism and EU politics are not necessarily in lock step – but pretty close. The noise we hear in the western major media is made-up angst designed to confuse and distract (just as Venezuela distracts) from the fact that NATO is expanding, and is in no danger of being circumscribed by the Trump regime.

But most of all, this made up nonsense in the media about Trump abandoning Europe is truly to distract from the fact that not only is the former United States a declining power, but is already a spent global hegemon.
