Alexandre, while speaking of proper diplomatic procedures between the US and Russia, Robert Barnes explained it very well on your show last week: President Trump does not trust the officials and ambassadors at his own ministry of foreign affairs. Why he does not replace them all remains a mystery, though I personally suspect duplicity and bad faith, since no US official ever mentions withdrawing from NATO, let alone dissolving NATO, the root cause of this war.
