The logic behind Israel’s attacks on Iran is simple: “There Can Be Only One”. The Israelis are unwilling to allow any other nation or group anywhere in their part of the world to achieve military parity with them. Nothing but absolute colonial domination will do. Then they can proceed to the enlargement of Great Israel without having to fear resistance, let alone reprisals.

Outspoken! Strongly reminiscent of Peter Sellers’ famous “Party Political Speech” track, with its ringing appeal: “My friends! We most build! But we must build surely!”
Meaningless feelgood verbiage. Something Americans are so good at.
In answer to Mr Mercouris’ rhetorical question, of course it is not wise for the UK to engage in warfare against Russia – the world’s leading military power.
But it is entirely consistent with the record of recent UK governments, whose strategic goal appears to be the utter destruction of the UK and its indigenous people.
