It’s like the UK and Brexit. Brits living in Switzerland were vocal in their opposition, but fortunately they didn’t get a chance to vote. When I asked one what was his problem, he grumbled about free passage. i pointed out that with a Swiss residence permit he had no worries about free passage but he still considered it was outrageous he couldn’t have his say.
