I suspect that Lithuania came up with the lame idea to interfere with transport to Kaliningrad on its own. This is why they resist when the EU tells them to back off. Now what their motive was is another matter entirely.

Interesting that France24 showed people refusing to be evacuated by Ukraine and declaring that Russia was their friend. A few days ago I read that 45% of people polled in France supported Russia and not Ukraine so maybe the France24 reporters were among the 45%. Support for Russia is apparently high in Italy too.
I wonder if it’s because countries are fed up with economic migrants. The majority of these so-called refugees come from western Ukraine where there is no fighting. They are seizing the opportunity of getting out of the most corrupt country in Europe to what they think is a better life. Those who have left from the east have all gone to Russia anyway.
Regarding France24, it is probably the Macron factor. Macron has polarised France.
