When Merkel said that the Minsk deal was fake and that it only served to give time to arm Ukraine, I wrote at that time that she was lying — that was about a year ago. I said then that she wanted the Minsk deal to work, but now she’s lying because she doesn’t want to be called Putin’s stooge which would mean being pushed out of polite society.
