Alex, based on your own data in this report, I would argue that, this time, if Russia is hit by Taurus missiles, especially in Moscow, if that is indeed the intention of Germany’s Chancellor, then Russia will retaliate against Germany, but target the Wiesbaden military base, rather than Berlin, being a civilian target. This is just my opinion.
That is preferrable. After all, and assuming the Wiesbaden base is an American one, the US has been pulling the strings for the past 80 years – Germany is only a puppet. To target Berlin wrongly assumes that Germany is the sovereign nation it hasn’t actually been since 1945.
I would argue that Russia might be tempted to take unorthodox undercover action for any German attacks with Taurus missiles. Take a leaf out of the Ukrainian’s book (trained by the British specialists in dirty tricks). Oh dear! Any factory making Taurus missiles just happens to blow up/catch fire/get destroyed. No Russian missiles or drones launched. Just a mystery. But it would send a clear message to Merz. Black ops could be the way.
