Secondly, unfortunately his analysis is completely backwards. Let me elaborate: What is happening ? Is it the disintegration of ukraine ? Russia beating the wardrum, as Mr. Mercouris seems to imply when already playing wargames as to what parts of ukraine russia will occuoy and what parts they won’t ? None of the above. I totally agree – the worse thing Ukrainian leadership could have done was get involved with the west and it’s a well know fact that the US and the EU had a lot to do with the uprising in Maidan Square – the names Victoria Nuland and John McCain spring readily to mind. My partner is Ukrainian and I’ve visited Ukraine 9 times so far and was there when the bullets literally started flying in Kyiv although I was around 400km away.
